Simply put, the complexity of the performance of plastic raw materials determines the complexity of the injection molding production process. The performance of plastic materials varies due to different varieties, injection molding production and processing conditions, grades, and even batches. Different injection molding performance parameters can lead to different results.
The impact of injection molding production time on the molding process is manifested in three aspects
(1) Due to the shear properties of plastic melt, the viscosity of the melt will be reduced. In order to fill the mold cavity, the required injection pressure also needs to be continuously reduced.
(2) The injection pressure required for filling the cavity should also be increased
(3) The greater the shear heating, the less heat is dissipated through thermal conduction. Therefore, the higher the temperature of the melt, the lower its viscosity, and the lower the injection pressure required to fill the cavity.
The injection temperature is also an issue. Melt flows into the cooled cavity and loses heat due to heat conduction. At the same time, the heat generated by shearing may be more or less than that generated by thermal conduction, which is caused by various factors and mainly depends on the injection molding conditions. In addition, the viscosity of the melt decreases with increasing temperature. Therefore, the higher the temperature during injection molding production, the lower the viscosity of the melt, and the lower the required filling pressure.
Throughout the entire injection molding production process, the impact of different conditions on injection molded products is diverse.
