We all know that BMC materials have been widely used in various industries, so what is the process flow of BMC molding plastics? Let me introduce it to you here.
BMC molding material is a thermosetting plastic, which is widely known. It is mainly filled and reinforced with short fibers, and glass fiber reinforcement materials account for 10% to 30% of the length, ranging from 1/32 inch to 1/2 inch (12.5mm).
It is more suitable for molding, transfer molding, injection molding and other processes. The mechanical properties of the product are good, and the surface cleanliness is good. It is resistant to water, oil, corrosion, and heat, and can withstand electric arcs for up to 190 seconds. It is widely used in fields such as electrical appliances, motors, radios, instruments, mechanical manufacturing, and chemical equipment.
Its molding method: The BMC plastic injection molding machine is mainly aimed at BMC plastic pellets, which are forcibly pressed into the BMC plastic barrel through the BMC plastic feeding machine, then transported to the front of the barrel through screws, and then injected into the mold cavity for solidification and molding. Because BMC is a thermosetting material, setting the temperature of the injection molding machine material at 60 degrees is more suitable for convenient material flow. When the screw is expected, the material can be pushed into the barrel.
There are mainly three types of BMC molding methods: compression, transfer, and injection. Regardless of which molding method is used, the temperature of the material barrel must meet the low limit of BMC molding plastic, and the mold temperature should be controlled between 135-185 ℃. The injection pressure should be high pressure, because BMC molding materials have poor fluidity and fast solidification, and the mold structure is complex. Therefore, a faster injection speed should be chosen to improve the surface quality of the plastic parts and shorten the curing time.
